Holiday visit to the SERAW Information Centre

On July 24, 2019, a group of 13 children from the village of Harlets visited the Information Centre of SERAW in Kozloduy. The meeting was arranged in advance as part of the classes of the summer programme of the Nikola Yonkov Vaptsarov – 1927 Community Centre.
In a fascinating conversation, children aged between 5 and 13 were talking about the attitude towards the environment and their aspiration for keeping it clean from waste – through separate collection for future recycling. For their part, the hosts introduced their young guests with information about the specific type of waste – the radioactive waste, and explained why it is important to dispose it with special care and concern for the future. The visitors were very curious and at the same time very aware of the work of the SERAW because of their parents and relatives. In the course of the meeting, the children had the opportunity to draw, tell for themselves, ask questions and draw conclusions. After careful consideration of the model of the future National Disposal Facility for  RAW, which is being built on the land of the village of Harlets in close proximity to the Kozloduy NPP, the ten-year-old Tsetsi exclaimed – This will be something cosmic!
