About 400 employees participated in the special event, by which State Enterprise Radioactive Waste celebrated 21 years of its establishment. The programme of the corporate special event began with a walking tour from Specialised Division Decommissioning of Units 1 to 4 on the Kozloduy NPP site, which about 40 employees from the three Specialized Divisions of the Enterprise on the territory of Kozloduy took part in. They were welcomed with applause by their colleagues, who were waiting for them at the Information Centre for Decommissioning in the town for the official part of the event.
In front of a packed audience, SERAW Executive Director, Dilyan Petrov, expressed his gratitude to the employees and his wishes for future professional success. The audience were delivered a presentation on retrospective review of the achievements during the last working year – from 8 June 2024 to 8 June of this year. Focus of attention at the corporate special event was a specially curated art exhibition with some waste management activities put on display, refracted through the creative perspective of photographers¬¬also employees of the Enterprise.

Your work has made SERAW a pillar of Bulgaria’s nuclear energy infrastructure and a partner in upholding national and international safety standards. Over the past two decades, SERAW has not only taken on the complex task of decommissioning nuclear facilities with dedication but has also demonstrated technical innovation, stakeholder engagement, and transparency. I am confident that your continued professionalism and teamwork will ensure the success of current and future projects, securing a safe legacy for generations to come.”, says the congratulatory message from the Associate Director in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Head of the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund, Valentin Šeider. A congratulatory speech on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the Enterprise was also delivered by the Executive Director of Kozloduy NPP, Ivan Andreev, with the words: “I take this opportunity to congratulate the entire team of SERAW for the professional-level energy and dedication with which you implement the important priorities in your core activity.”
