SE RAW with a second place at the Workers’ Spartakiad

From 12 to 16 September 2018, the XVIth National Workers’ Spartakiad of the Power Engineers in Bulgaria took place. The event is organized annually by the National Federation of Power Engineers (NFPE) of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions. This year the sporting competition gathered a record number of participants – more than seven hundred, which made the run for the prizes particularly tight. A contribution for the interesting twists was also the fact that the draw of the groups was immediately before the Spartakiad, which put traditional favourites in the different disciplines in an interesting way.
The athletes from the State Enterprise “Radioactive Waste” (SE RAW) returned with a decent result from the sporting event – they took the second place among the teams of 13 energy organizations that joined the competition. The gold medallists – volleyball teams (women and men), table tennis (women and men), petanque (women and mixed), tug of war (male) and shooting (women) contributed to the achievement. To this collection were added nine silver and nine bronze awards in various other disciplines.
The participants in the 2018 Energy Workers’ Spartakiad described it as the strongest competition in the 16-year history of the event, where very serious statements of intent were given for the next year.
The management of the SE RAW thanked all the participants in the sport delegation of the company – for the contribution to the winning cup, the efforts in the preliminary preparations, the responsibility and the team play, the will for victory!
