An agreement was achieved between State Enterprise Radioactive Waste and Kozloduy NPP in terms of the transfer of KNPP’s employees, working at units 3 and 4, to SERAW. A list was submitted on behalf of Kozloduy NPP of the necessary staff for servicing units 3 and 4 in compliance with the conditions of the license for managing the units as radioactive waste facilities.
SERAW received the license from the Nuclear Regulatory Agency on 26 February 2013. On 21 November 2012 the Council of Ministers announced units 3 and 4 to be facilities for radioactive waste management and submitted them for management to SERAW through the Special Division Decommissioning-Kozloduy.
