On 10 March 2015, State Enterprise Radioactive Waste (SERAW) published the official notifications for the next public hearing meetings regarding the updated Environment Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) for the National Disposal Facility for Low- and Intermediate Level Radioactive Waste (NDF). The dates and time of the meeting as well as the locations for public access to the EIAR were chosen during preliminary information meetings in agreement with the representatives of local authorities in the settlements where public hearings will be held.
Considering the public interest on the SERAW’s project for construction of the NDF, the Ministry of the Environment and Waters (MEW) appointed 11 settlements where the public hearings to take place: municipality of Kolzoduy and village of Harlets on whose territory Radiana Site is located as well as the municipalities of Miziya, Valchedram, Hayredin, Oryahovo, Borovan, Lom, Krivodol, Boychinovci and Byala Slatina.
