In a letter to Dilyan Petrov, Executive Director of SERAW, H.E. Jonathan Allen, U.K. Ambassador in Bulgaria expressed his personal gratitude for the assistance during the visit of the British delegation, led by him, to the site of the shutdown Units 1-4 of Kozloduy NPP.
The visit took place on 11 July 2013. The delegation observed the progress of the dismantling activities in the Turbine Hall of 440-MW units. They also visited the control room of Unit 2 and the observation shield to the Reactor Hall of Units 1-2.
During the visit of the British delegation a working meeting of experts took place during which the main priorities of SERAW activities were presented in details. The emphasis was on the projects related to the process of safe decommissioning of the shutdown nuclear facilities.
