On 26 February 2013 the State Enterprise Radioactive Waste received licenses for operation of units 3 and 4 of Kozloduy NPP as facilities for radioactive waste management, which are subject to decommissioning. With regard to the new SERAW licenses, the license of Kozloduy NPP for operation of units 3 and 4 in operational mode were terminated.
The documents were handed in by Dr. Sergey Tzochev, Chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency, personally to the executive director of SERAW, Mr Dilyan Petrov. The official handing-over was made in the presence of D-r Maya Mateeva, Director Safety and Quality Department at SERAW and Borislav Stanimirov, Deputy Chairman of NRA.
