State Enterprise Radioactive Waste was awarded with honorary diploma and plaque for “Support of the children and youth policy of the Municipality of Kozloduy”.
The official award ceremony, which took place on 20 May 2013, is part of the events dedicated to the Day of the Bulgarian education and culture and the Cyrillic script.

The award was received by the Director of RAW Management Division – Georgi Razlozhki who thanked on behalf of the Executive Director Dilyan Petrov and the Enterprise’s management and stated that SE RAW will continue consecutively to develop initiatives which involve the Municipality’s young citizens, since one of the fundamental principles of the organization’s mission is to take care of the environment in such a way that the future generations are not burdened.

During the ceremony in the hall, it was reminded that the Enterprise together with the local authority undertook legislative initiatives owing to which the regions of Kozloduy and Novi Han will receive targeted support for infrastructure projects of social importance.

As a result of this, the first stage of the project Construction of handball court with artificial turf and stand in the village of Glozhene was completed during the last year and this year the project is expected to be completed, thus the extracurricular and sport activities of the children and the youths will be encouraged. Another project, Provision of facilities for children playgrounds financed by the Radioactive Waste Fund, will be realized during this year, thus the quality of the sport and establishment of recreational conditions in the children playground will be improved.

In parallel with this, State Enterprise Radioactive Waste established traditions with several public initiatives, part of which involve children and young people: Easter children’s contest for applied-art works – Our green future; Bee honey celebration, which is actively visited by students; annual special greeting to the first-year students on their first day at school.

For contribution to the children and youth’s policy were awarded also Kozloduy NPP Plc, Kozloduy NPP – New build Plc, Rotary Club Augusta – Kozloduy and Parents association.
