On the eve of Easter, for a sixth year in a row, State Enterprise Radioactive Waste organizes a contest for children’s artistic-applied artworks – Our green future. This year, children between 5 and 10 years may participate in the initiative – individually or as a team. The young creators may choose their techniques of painting, drawing or how to arrange their compositions. It is required that eggs or egg parts are used by the preparation of the works. The contest commission will encourage especially the usage of natural materials. According to the rules of the contest, the children have to link the care of nature and the future of the region they live in with the activity of SE RAW, whose mission is the safe storage of low- and middle-level radioactive waste.
The positions will be separated in three groups:
First group: Children between 5 and 6 years of age (participation in teams only);
Second group: Children between 7 and 8 years of age (individually and collectively participation);
Third group: Children between 9 and 10 years of age (individually and collectively participation).
The works can be submitted from 15th until 19th of April, 2013 in the Information Centre of SE RAW. The announcement of the contest results and the awards of the winners are planned for 23rd of April, at 16:30 in “Café-theatre” Hall, House of Culture.
All works submitted for the contest will be arranged in a common three days exhibition which can be seen on 24th, 25th and 26th of April.
